Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Not only for academic qualification papers and theses but in most jobs for academics, you will be confronted with writing project proposals. Although today for this kind of work, almost only online portals of the corresponding tenders are available, a classic proposal for a master or doctoral thesis differs only slightly from other professional project proposals, especially since the formal contents are almost identical.
Given the upcoming master's thesis, we will focus on writing a classical academic proposal.
That will be done in two steps: in the first unit, which will take place as a block, we will define the details of a proposal. Subsequently, all students will write their proposals. In the second block, these will be handed in and presented to the class.
The goal of the course is that everyone finishes his/her proposal as soon as possible to present it to the respective supervisors of the MA thesis because the proposal is the basis of the working agreement between the student and the supervisor.
