Prüfungsimmanente Lehrveranstaltung

In this class the focus will be on theories and methods of global history not in the abstract but as they are used and constructed in concrete studies. The explicit goal of the class is not to theorize and generalize about global history, as is so often the case in courses about global history and which as a rule leads nowhere, but to show and analyze what is actually going on in global history from as many different methodical and theoretical angles as possible and to show how interesting lively, and diverse global history actually is.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Students are supposed to participate actively by reading, presenting and acting as commentator, plus writing a paper. Grading will be based on presence, participation, presentation and paper
