Welche Aufbauprinzipien liegen verschiedenen deutschsprachigen Corpora zugrunde? Was sind sinnvolle linguistische Fragen an das Corpus? Was sind parallele Textcorpora, wie werden sie erstellt und benutzt?

With digitisation of texts it is possible to create new and distinctive formats
for critical and scholarly editions, raising questions such as the creation of the canon,
editorial theory, and the notion of textual authority.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

A single piece of written work for either Dobrovol'skij or Miller.

Dobrovol'skij: practical work with the Mannheim Corpus on a selected linguistic topic.
Miller: an essay on digital editions/archives.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Es besteht die Möglichkeit, im AAC an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften ein Praktikum zu absolvieren, um ein Zertifikat für XML-Annotierung zu erwerben.

Prüfungsstoff

Weekly lectures, software demonstrations, discussion of selected www sites.
