ONLINE: the links to the weekly BBB sessions can be found on MoodleThis lecture course is specifically designed for and tailored to a student audience that attends this class in the framework of the Erweiterungscurriculum 'The World of English 1'. The lecture provides students with a basic introduction to key concepts and terminology within the study of the English language from a linguistic perspective.

Students gain basic knowledge regarding various aspects of the linguistic study of the English language, including knowledge of the fundamental terminology and concepts used, enabling them to engage with the scientific field of English linguistics.Grading scale:1 (sehr gut) 100-90%;
2 (gut) 89-80%;
3 (befriedigend) 79-70%;
4 (genügend) 69-60%;
5 (nicht genügend) 59-0%.
