Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course is designed to help students who are writing their MEd theses to develop a structured plan for their theses. Participants will be able to present work in progress and receive feedback on the methods, materials, and approaches with which they are planning to work.

We will cover the following aspects of the thesis process:
- presentation, discussion and peer-feedback of MEd theses projects in literary / cultural studies and literature education
- discussion and development of concepts, approaches and methods for MEd thesis paper projects
- defining research questions, selecting sources, academic writing (revision)
- organizing the exam process (including registering your thesis, HOPLA, oral defense)

After the class, participants will have gained a clearer sense of the stage their thesis project is in, their academic writing strategies and how to further develop them, and will have tested new strategies and methods to further proceed with their project.
