Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Teaching in the Austrian middle school (MS) might ask for a wide(r) repertoire of methods and strategies used in the heterogenous classroom; in this course we're going to discuss a variety of different approaches and activities from lesson planning to assessing in all 4 language skills in order to fill "your individual treasure chest".

Objectives:
• Defining the Austrian Middle School (MS)
• Analyzing the learners’ needs and objectives
• IKM/ iKMPLUS as an external evaluation tool for language development
• Knowing a variety of different creative methods in all 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) at level A2/B1
• Analysing and designing activities with a focus on differentiation

Grading scale: 1 (sehr gut) 100-90%; 2 (gut) 89-80%; 3 (befriedigend), 79-70%; 4 (genügend) 69-60%; 5 (nicht genügend) 59-0%.
