Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This workshop will explore the dramatic literature of the first two decades of the twentieth century and place it in the context of the theatrical landscape. Edwardian England was a time of reform and experiment; in terms of playwriting the so-called new drama, with its structural and thematic innovations, emerged, in terms of theatre the first repertory ventures were initiated. Presentations will deal with dramatic and theatrical aspects as well as with cultural and political contextualisation.
