The seminar is addressed to students of English who are currently writing on an M.A. or a Ph.D. thesis in the fields of English literature and/or cultural studies. The seminar will give students the opportunity to present their projects and to discuss key issues or unsolved problems in class. It will offer practical guidance for approaching a topic as well as advice for writing a research paper and will also alert students to the pitfalls of plagiarism.
