* Synchronous ONLINE (digital) course with Moodle/Zoom
* Before the first session: short text to read incl. upload (deadline Wednesday 12th October, 23.55)
* Small group discussions in breakout rooms in Zoom (your mic & camera need to work and you need to be somewhere where you can use them)
* For some participants, some classtime activities may require completion after class has officially ended (deadline: midnight on the same day).
* At present the two library visits are planned to take place virtually.

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

* Three learning diary entries (200-400 words each), two library "visits" incl. uploads, individual and group online activities for each session in Moodle/Zoom (written and/or oral).
* The "tour" of the English and American Studies Library will take place virtually. Depending on circumstances and the university’s library policies in December/January, there may be some optional guided tours on site for those who are interested instead of working through the virtual resources, but places on these cannot be guaranteed.
* Your "visit" to another library will probably take place virtually, although a physical visit may be possible depending on the library’s policies in December/January.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Online attendance (max. 1 absence) - pre-defined group and individual online activities for each session (Moodle/Zoom) count as attendance.
1) Three learning diary entries relating to sessions 1-3, 4-5 and 6-7 (7%, 10%, 13%, i.e. 30% in all). All three uploads are required even if you missed one of the sessions.
2) "Tour" of the English and American Studies Library (15%)
3) "Visit" to and report on another library plus library group event (up to 15%)
Individual online homework activities (up to 40%, around 100 points) must be done in addition to the three named parts. The three named parts must be positive as well as the overall score.Grading scale:
1 (sehr gut) 100-90%;
2 (gut) 89-80%;
3 (befriedigend) 79-70%;
4 (genügend) 69-60%;
5 (nicht genügend) 59-0%.
