Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Students are assessed on the basis of participation, paper proposal, presentation of research and written seminar/BA paper. Paper proposal, research presentation and seminar paper are based on the students’ own research project.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Course evaluation is based on:
*) class participation, reading and assignments (max. 10 points)
*) paper proposal (max. 10 points)
*) oral presentation (max. 20 points)
*) seminar/BA paper (max. 60 points)
The minimum requirements for passing the course are:
(a) regular class attendance (max. 2 absences)
(b) handing in paper proposal (on time)
(c) giving the oral presentation (on set date)
(d) handing in the seminar paper (on time)
(e) attaining 60 of the maximum of 100 points.1 (sehr gut) 100-90 Points
2 (gut) 89-81 Points
3 (befriedigend) 80-71 Points
4 (genügend) 70-60 Points
5 (nicht genügend) 59-0 Points

Students will:
• be acquainted with concepts language awareness (LA) and knowledge about language (KAL);
• be able to reflect critically on these notions and empirical work carried out within the frameworks;
• be able to draw on theoretical and empirical research to develop syntheses;
• be able to develop and address research questions on cross-linguistic influence based on sound theoretical and empirical knowledge.
