Contents: This interactive course will familiarize future teachers of English with the latest information on the requirements of the ‘New Matura’ in Austria and with the guidelines for writing and supervising a ‘VWA’ (pre-academic paper). In particular the range of topics AHS students are expected to deal with at their final oral exams will be introduced and critically assessed in the context of the ‘Common European Framework of Reference for Languages’ (CEFR).
