Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Students will have to create a course portfolio which consists of various assignments due at different times in the course. Portfolio assignments will comprise the following topics (weights in parentheses):- Teaching activity (18%)- Observation report (7%)- Teaching the language skills/system (3 out of the following 4): reading, speaking, writing, grammar (16% each)- Concluding reflection (10%)- Home assignments, asynchronous e-learning activities (17%)Language issues/not complying with formal aspects (-20%)
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Requirements ("zwingend vorgeschriebene Leistungen"):1) Plan and teach a lesson at the school of your mentor (team-teaching)2) Observe a lesson and write a report for your course portfolio3) Submit a course portfolio4) Participate actively in synchronous and asynchronous sessions5) Attend synchronous online sessions regularly (max. 2 absences).Sehr gut (90%-100%), Gut (80%-89.99%), Befriedigend (70%-79.99%), Genügend (60%-69.99%), Nicht genügend (0%-59.99%)

Core ContentThe objectives of this course are to prepare students for the "Schulpraktikum" by focusing on the diverse roles and tasks of the EFL teacher, the basic concepts of CLT, lesson planning, classroom management and practical teaching techniques, as well as observation criteria.Core content:- Teaching reading- Teaching speaking- Teaching writing- Teaching grammarStudents will be expected to observe and to do teaching at school.Method: group interaction, discussions, lecturer input, observation, team teaching

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
requirements ("zwingend vorgeschriebene Leistungen"): You are expected to:1) plan a lesson (together with a colleague) for the school of your mentor2) observe a video lesson and write a report for your course portfolio3) hand in a course portfolio4) participate actively in the class sessions5) attend class regularly (max. 2 absences). The pass mark is 60%.100%-90% = 1; 89%-80% = 2; 79%-70% = 3; 69%-60% = 4;59%- = 5

Core ContentThe objectives of this course are to prepare students for the "Schulpraktikum" by focusing on the diverse roles and tasks of the EFL teacher, the basic concepts of CLT, lesson planning, classroom management and practical teaching techniques, as well as observation criteria.Core content:- Teaching reading- Teaching speaking- Teaching writing- Teaching grammarStudents will be expected to observe and to do teaching at school.Method: group interaction, discussions, lecturer input, observation, team teaching
