Assessment will be based on students' own/group projects, continuous assessment (classwork/homework), one theory check-up, and one final individual written assignment.

Attendance (max. 2 absences)Your final grade for this course is based on three components:
Part 1: Classwork/homework (individual/in pairs/groups) incl. analysing/developing/evaluating tasks for an achievement test (20%+10%), rater training for writing (10%), and [optional] self-/peer assessment (5% [0%]). The assessment grids/keys for the different assignments are given in moodle and reflect the process and/or the product.Part 2: One mid-term theory check-up lasting 45 minutes on Texts 1-6 in the reader (25%)Part 3: Individual final written assignment, 1,500-2,000 words (30% [35%])Two of the three parts as well as the overall score must be positive.Grading scale: 1 (sehr gut) 100-90%; 2 (gut) 89-80%; 3 (befriedigend), 79-70%; 4 (genügend) 69-60%; 5 (nicht genügend) 59-0%.
