Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
This course aims to provide students preparing for or already working on their MA theses with the support they need to successfully finish their studies. We will jointly read and discuss your thesis statements, preliminary outlines as well as primary and secondary sources, aka your proposals. We will also read and discuss written samples of your takes on your primary material and discuss lenses and perspectives that may back up your critical and analytical engagement with the material chosen. Each participant will submit and present work samples to the group and will provide responses to one proposal and one work sample. We will also address any questions that might come up concerning individual projects, selection of sources, procedures for research, supervisor communication, general MA guidelines and expectations, as well as academic writing styles and formats or any other topics that might need discussion.
