Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Vorlesungen über die "Sprache im Kontext" mit Beispielen aus der uralischen Sprachfamilie. Sprache und Kultur – Die Hypothese des sprachlichen Relativismus (ob und wie die Kultur, die Kommunikationskultur oder die "Denkweise" die Struktur der Sprache bestimmt). Relevanz der Folklore und Literatur für die Sprachwissenschaft. Sprache und Gesellschaft: Sprachplanung und Sprachpolitik. Genderlinguistik: Geschlechtsrollen und Sprache.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Schriftliche Abschlussprüfung.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Einblicke in die Vielfalt der sprachwissenschaftlichen Forschung und die Funktionen der Sprache, jenseits der Grammatikschreibung.
Prüfungsstoff
Vorlesung mit begleitender Lektüre.
