Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The objective of this class is to enable students, under expert guidance and supervision, to read and analyze texts of Nepali literature. It is an introductory class to the Nepali literature which will enable the participants to read, translate and analyse the Nepali literary texts on their own. Some short stories from the 20th century are selected as a reading text.
Regular attendance, active participation in the class and home assignments are strictly demanded from every participant. The class will be conducted in Nepali and therefore interested students must have a very good knowledge of Nepali grammar.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Method of assessment: An essay of 1000 words (in Nepali) on a given topic at the end of the semester (40%), regular attendance, participation and home works (40%) and preparation of the reading text (20%).
