Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The course is an overview of religions in China. Origins, developments, main texts and religious practices of indigenous Chinese religions, especially Daoism, will be examined. Lectures on the accommodation of Buddhism on the Chinese soil will focus the issue mainly from the perspective of comparison between Daoism and Buddhism.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Take Home Exam. Students will be required to write an essay. Examination date = dead line for handing in your paper.
