Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The course is aimed at students who are preparing or writing a thesis. It is intended to provide an opportunity to present and discuss conceptual, methodological and theoretical issues. In particular, current debates in Modern South Asian Studies will be addressed, including a critical reading of recent publications. Literature for reading is selected on the basis of the individual projects.

Type of performance monitoring
It is expected that all participants present their project orally and submit a written elaboration of the concept or individual chapters of the thesis at the end of the semester. In addition to regular and active participation, these tasks are the basis of the assessment.
