Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The primary objective of this course is to review basic components of social science research design and guide the writing of an academic research paper (essay, term paper, Master thesis). Designed to reflect EcoS’ integrated teaching and learning concept, this exercise course (“Übung”) complements the seminar Political Systems in East Asia (SE 150138). EcoS students enrolling in this course must also be enrolled in the seminar.

1. review key elements of a social science academic research paper;
2. review qualitative research methods; and
3. complete guided writing assignments for specific components of an academic research paper
