Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Personality studies of traditional healers and how they use music. From musical self-therapy, e.g. musical bow playing to spirit possession (e.g. Apostolic Church, Vimbuza spirit possession) and songs in the performance of professional healers (asing’anga). Results of the lecturer’s fieldwork in Malawi/Mozambique from 1980s to now. With audio and video documents.
