Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
During this course we will take a closer look at WGH-movement. We will discuss its nature (A-bar movement) and its trigger (WH-feature). We will devote a considerable amount of time to the phenomena accompanying WH-extractions, e.g. That-t Effect, Superiority, T-toC movement, ATB, WH-islands, etc. Finally, we will also have a look at the parametric variation existing among natural languages with respect to the phenomenon of WH-movement.
