Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Central research questions in cognitive science - from early beginnings on until today - are discussed in relation to the paradigms introduced in the lecture "Basic Concepts of Cognitive Science - Foundations in Cognitive Science" (classical AI & symbolism, connectionism, dynamical systems, embodied & situated cognition):
- What is (human) intelligence?
- Are we born with a language-module?
- Does complex behaviour always demand a complex mechanism?
- Where are the boundaries of cognition?
- Will we soon be able to read minds?

Attentance of the lecture "Basic Concepts of Cognitive Science - Foundations in Cognitive Science" is therefore required.
