Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

In this seminar, students become acquainted with computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) and its application in higher education. They acquire the theoretical concepts that belong to this domain, and they learn to apply these concepts to existing studies in CSCL. During the module, we will work collaboratively on an introduction to CSCL, based upon joint and individual analyses of theoretical articles and empirical studies into CSCL.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Presence and active participation during the seminar meetings.
During the module, each student will have to provide the following products to our Moodle course and Google docs website:
- Definitions of theoretical CSCL concepts
- An analysis of one or more empirical CSCL studies on the basis of these definitions
- A contribution to the emerging group text on CSCL.
All materials are permitted, provided that they are referenced, and their use is justified.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Presence at all seminar meetings; absence during one meeting is allowed.
All contributions should be handed in on time; overdue submission is not allowed.
