Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of qualitative research methods with a special focus on the concept of 'quality' in qualitative research. In this course, quality criteria in qualitative research methods will be scrutinized and explored via examples within different qualitative methods. The emphasis of this course will be on the conceptualization of the key markers of quality in the means of qualitative research and/or practice by enabling students to investigate and contemplate the topic concerning social sciences and education with the help and guidance of the course director.Methods: Lectures (introduction of the theories and concepts by the course director), discussions, written and oral reflections on the readings, group work assignments, short presentations.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
In preparation for the sessions of the course, assignments and readings should be completed. Small projects will be conducted throughout the course. The final project report is a requirement. Short presentations on the topic of quality in the research processes will be made on several courses.
