Media education and critical understanding must lead to taking action and demanding change (Buckingham, 2019), then encouraging and developing the ability to create media for taking action and social change will be aimed as well.
Through an inquiry-based method, students learn the core concepts of media literacy and its related questions. By applying the questions, they develop skills to analyze different media content such as photographs, newspapers, advertisements, movies, websites, and social media ....
Through critical examination of media content and media system (in Austria), the neutrality of media messages will be questioned and how media representation can reinforce inequality and injustice or advance social justice will be analyzed.
