Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course aims to train students to proficiently perform all the steps necessary to conduct empirical research in the field of psychology of aging. This is a 2-semester course program. During the winter term of 2024, students will learn how to conduct, and then will conduct, a systematic map review on the effects of climate change on different age groups. In the following summer term, students will collect data on the same topic (climate change effects on different age groups), analyze and interpret the results and document their findings.

Four groups of 4-5 students will be created, with each group covering one age group (adolescence, young adulthood, middle adulthood, older adulthood).

Each group will give one oral presentation to present their research questions and a second oral presentation to present their findings in the form of a poster (results), and they will summarize their findings of the systematic map review in a written report (3.000-3.200 words).

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

All students' tasks (presentations, active participation and writing) can be performed both in German or English.
