Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have created new use cases of AI both as a research topic and as a tool to assist and even improve research and learning practices. This course will deal with selected topics of research on human-AI interaction (e.g., AI/algorithm aversion). It will also deal with novel AI solutions that may help researchers and students in psychology and beyond in their work (e.g., in analysing data or even writing scientific text). Yet, the course will also address ethical and practical concerns related to this revolution. It will include both the presentation and discussion of scientific papers on the topic as well as practical sessions on using and applying AI in research-/study-related tasks.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Students will be graded in their (1) presentation of a scientific article and a (2) written assignment on a practical issue related to the topic.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Both parts of the evaluation will be weighted with 50% for the final grade.

Prüfungsstoff

The students should be interested in the topic of AI and its modern use cases. They should be willing to read scientific articles on the topic and try out different AI-driven platforms to explore their potential in psychological research and education.

Literatur

The literature is entirely based on scientific articles from psychology, marketing, information research, and related areas. The readings will be announced in the first session of the course and provided via Moodle.
