Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The aim of this TEWA is to acquire the abilities and skills that are necessary for the independent development of scientific work.
Graduates of the course are able to receive psychological literature in English. Graduates are able to communicate their knowledge and the underlying principles in relevant fields in writing and orally (in English), both with experts and laypeople. Graduates are able to reflect critically on research results and integrate them into broader contexts.
The course covers research topics on stress prepared by the lecturer. Subsequently, participants should develop their own empirical research questions in the context of the prepared research projects.
The aim of the course is to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of the implementation of psychological studies, starting with the review of scientific literature, formulation of research hypotheses, carrying out the study, up to the evaluation of the data (quantitative) and writing of a scientific thesis.
Method:
Discussions and group exercises, organization of a lesson in small groups, instructions and inputs from lecturers, guest lectures, excursions, laboratory exercises

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

This is a course with continuous assessment of students' performance. Particular emphasis is placed on participation, constructive involvement in discussions and group exercises, as well as a willingness to reflect, organization of a lesson; completion of assignments during the semester; working on a research topic incl. thesis.
Compulsory attendance (at least 80%)
