Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Grading system: 4 reports per group (written in English, 800 words per report, bibliographical references excluded, each student is the main responsible for 1 report, but all 4 students help with writing each report) counting 50% in total; one oral presentation per group counting 20%; individual participation in class and online counting 30%.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Good language skills in German and English. Attendance (on site) is compulsory; students may be absent for no more than two lectures.

This year’s course focuses on two broad topics: 1) hypnosis, 2) aging
Literatur
Introductory literature on hypnosis: Oakley DA, Halligan PW. Hypnotic suggestion: opportunities for cognitive neuroscience. Nat Rev Neurosci 2013;14:564-76.

The steps:
(1) Become familiar with a topic
(2) Find a research question and formulate hypotheses
(3) Identify and assess the methods available
(4) Design your study
(5) Implement your study
(6) Conduct the study
Program: The students will be taught the steps 1 to 6. Six groups of 4 students each are to be created. Each group will be requested to produce a report for each step from 1 to 4 and will be evaluated on this basis.
