The seminar aims to develop students' theoretical, technical and methodological skills particularly in the context of writing research proposals. The actual content of the seminar is strongly based on the needs and problems of students.Main topics: Elections and voting behavior, Party Politics, Democratic Representation, Public Opinion, Quantitative Methods

Attendance (maximum of two absences; unconditional mandatory attendance at the first meeting).
Active participation in all meetings.
Short-written summary of the thesis' subject at the beginning of the course.
Presentation during the semester.
Final thesis (25-35 pages).* Abgabe eines Konzepts zur Bachelorarbeit bis zum jeweiligen Termin* Treffen mit der jeweiligen Themengruppe außerhalb der LV-Zeit* Präsentation des Arbeitskonzeptes und des Fortschritts der Bachelorarbeit in der Lehrveranstaltung* Regelmäßige Teilnahme und aktive Mitarbeit (Diskussionsteilnahme, Feedback an KollegInnen) Wer öfter als 2-mal abwesend ist, kann das Seminar nicht positiv abschließen. Das gilt von der ersten bis zur letzten Stunde.
