Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
In this seminar, students will learn how to carry out high-quality scientific research on the topic of AI and persuasive outcomes (i.e., the impact of social chatbots on offline relationships, the impact of AI influencers on health/ persuasive outcomes). In the first semester, students will develop their research ideas, identify crucial research gaps in this domain, and investigate the current state-of-the-art. They will develop their research ideas, hypotheses/ research questions, and their measurement instruments. Throughout this semester, the student will present their ideas and design in class, attend individual feedback and mentoring sessions with the lecturers, and write a scientific paper.To enroll in this course, a high level of motivation to commit to a high-quality scientific study is required.

2 (Good): 75 - 86,99%
3 (Satisfactory): 63 - 74,99%
4 (Sufficient): 50 - 62,99%

Please be mindful that, due to our internal regulations, for a positive evaluation in any course within the Master's program in Communication Science, students must first be officially admitted to this study program. Therefore, students from other study programs or Erasmus students cannot receive a positive evaluation in these courses.
