Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The lecture-seminar attempts understanding the complex global relations of politics, economy, social-cultural interactions and diverse forms of communication. Of particular interest are breaking-points, colliding interests and intents of the participants involved and the break-down of communication, ensuing conflicts and violence. Based on key-events and selected case studies of national and international institutions and agents, local/regional groups and interests the lecture-seminar elaborates possible approaches of analysing the problematics of the topic.

The lecture-seminar's goal is providing theoretical-methodological and ethnographic knowledge to enable participants to gain insight and competences for independant further work in the relevant topic areas.
This is an inter-active course. Apart from some introductory input the course is based on intense communication, open discussion, active contribution and group work of all participants, based on the use of literature and multi-media materials.
The seminar is conducted in English and/or German.
