Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Entwicklungs- und Transformationsprozesse sind geprägt durch einen kolonialen und/oder extraktivistischen Zugriff auf Land, Ressourcen, Menschen und Ökosysteme. Oft geht dies mit der Errichtung von Infrastrukturen einher, die großflächige Interventionen nach sich ziehen und über lange Zeiträume hinweg Macht über Raum und Ressourcen ausüben. Dieses Seminar befasst sich, basierend auf Ansätzen aus der Politischen Ökologie, Kritischer Geografie, macht- und herrschaftskritischen Ansätzen und Arbeiten zum Settlerkolonialismus mit (neo)kolonialen Infrastrukturen. Auf der empirischen Ebene geschieht dies entlang von Fallbeispielen wie Grünwasserstoffproduktion, Pipelines, Eisenbahnbau und Tiefseebergbau. Widerständige und abolitionistische Perspektiven im Sinne von 'land defence / earth defence' kommen beispielsweise mit Blick auf die Entwickung konvivialer Infrastrukturen, die Dakota Access Pipeline und den Hambacher Forst zur Sprache.
Wir arbeiten mit einem Syllabus, der die wöchentliche Seminarlektüre, sowie Filmtipps und Podcasts umfasst. Im Seminar kombinieren wir Lehrvortrag und Diskussion der Seminarlektüre mit Rechercheaufgaben, World Cafés, Filmanalysen.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Das Verwenden von KI (künstliche Intelligenz)-Tools ist bei allen schriftlichen Arbeiten (Arbeitsaufgaben und Seminararbeit) explizit untersagt.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Seminararbeit (60 % der Beurteilung)
