Ideally students should work in groups and develop material that may be used for wider dissemination (e.g. background brochure and/ or exhibition that can be used to inform a wider public about the people of Afghanistan constituting one of the major asylum seeking groups in Austria).
Based on a wide range of materials (anthropological and forced migration literature as well as media reports and other sources) the complex living conditions of Afghans within the country and dispersed throughout the world will be studied and presented in the classroom. Following discussions of the materials students are requested to submit a written text that may be used for a brochure and if possible an exhibition. This will require that also pictures, graphics should be included in the text.English will be used as means of communication
