Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The seminar looks at diverse notions of 'everyday life' and different concepts of what constitutes an object and the place and role ascribed to it.The seminar's goal is providing theoretical-methodological and ethnographic knowledge to enable participants to gain insight and competences for independant further work in the relevant topic areas.

This is an inter-active course. Apart from some introductory input lectures the seminar is based on intense communication, open discussion, active contribution and group work of all participants, based on the use of literature and multi-media materials. With special guests.
The seminar is conducted in English.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Marking is based on active participation including discussion and short written work (30%), 10 min. presentation (35%), and final paper (35%).
Closing date for final paper delivery: 1 April 2019

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Presence (max. absence: one session), presentation, active participation in discussions, timely delivery of final paper; all items have to be positive.

Prüfungsstoff

Presentation, written papers, engagement in discussions and work in small groups

Literatur

The relevant literature and other materials will be provided, discussed and accumulated within the course of the seminar.
