Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This seminar aims to provide guidance for writing on topics related to refugees currently living in Austria or other European countries. The main goal is to prepare a collective publication from texts, which have been produced during and after the field practice 'Welcoming Refugees' (SS 2016). Students working on master thesis or bachelor papers that deal with forced migration issues are also welcome to participate as well.
As this is a methods seminar and the overall goal is to prepare a publishable manuscript
the focus will be on writing techniques. In addition, in a joint effort already existing papers (e.g. final papers from the SS 2016 or other existing texts) will be collectively revised and improved. Herein we will use peer reviewing (that is each student will be obliged to work in tandem with a fellow colleague) to improve the text. The course instructor will also extensive counseling throughout the whole seminar.

The course languages will be German, but if required English is also possible.

* attendance in all collective and individual meetings
* active participation in course
* full engagement in peer- reviewing of colleagues´ texts
* submission of text at the end of the seminar, final deadline end of February 2018, no extension of deadlines possible
