Topics include the following areas of mathematical research: generalized functions and distribution theory, time-frequency methods, partial differential
equations, microlocal analysis and regularity theory,
pseudodifferential operators, sampling theory.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

For successful completion of the seminar the participants are required either to give a presentation in the seminar or to demonstrate sufficient progress of their Ph.D. thesis.

This weekly seminar is devoted to current research related to the
Initiativkolleg on Modern Mathematical Analysis and Applications - Time-frequency analysis and microlocal analysis http://www.univie.ac.at/nuhag-php/ik/ .
The schedule will alternate between biweekly talks of the IK-participants and intensive discussion and advising.

Prüfungsstoff

Seminar talks by the participants as well as foreign guest.
