Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
take-home exam.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
A basic understanding of free surface water waves.
Prüfungsstoff
An interplay of methods from various branches of
pure mathematics (e.g. topology, complex analysis, functional analysis,
harmonic analysis, ordinary differential equations/dynamical systems,
differential geometry, partial differential equations) and applied
mathematics (e.g. multiple scales, non-dimensionalisation) will be used.
We will strive to make the presentation relatively self-contained,
recalling the relevant methods whenever they are applied.
