Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Diese Pflichtvorlesung im zweiten Studienabschnitt des Diplomstudiums bringt eine Einführung in die Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie, die auf der Analysis aufbaut. Sie besteht aus drei Teilen. Im ersten Teil werden die Begriffe
Wahrscheinlichkeit und bedingte Wahrscheinlichkeit eingeführt und die grundlegenden Formeln zum Rechnen mit Wahrscheinlichkeiten hergeleitet. Im zweiten Teil geht es um Zufallsvariable und deren Verteilungen. Unabhängigkeit von Zufallsvariablen, Erwartungswert, Varianz und Korrelationskoeffizient werden behandelt sowie Formeln zum Rechnen mit Wahrscheinlichkeitsdichten. Der dritte Teil bringt
einige Resultate über momenterzeugende und charakteristische Funktionen (Laplace- und Fouriertransformation), die ein wichtiges Hilfsmittel in der Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie darstellen. Damit wird auch der zentrale Grenzwertsatz bewiesen.
