The participation requires the additional atttendance of the course "Modern methods of characterization of materials", 3 hours/week, of the Faculty of Chemistry.

A practical survey on Materials Physics and its most important methods.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
The judging of students is derived from the activity in preceding talk, the engagement during the experiments, and from the result of final questioning.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Correct handling of modern research facilities, good physical understanding, suitable documentation of experiments, and the specific preparation for a bachelor-, master-, diploma work , and/or a doctoral thesis on materials physics.
Prüfungsstoff
The lab course uses modern audio-visual tools and state-of-the-art research instruments.
