Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
In the last decade, microarrays have become a powerful tool for highly-parallel, genome-wide analysis of biological systems. This seminar will focus on the strengths and limitations of the technology, methods for making microarrays, i.e., spotting vs. in-situ chemical synthesis ( ink-jet and photolithographic methods), as well as traditional and new applications of microarrays in genetics and cell biology.
