Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Please note that this course will be given by Dr Lorna Linch, a world expert in the description and interpretation of sediments in the thin section scale. The emphasis will be on glacial sediments, and students will get an appreciation of an approach to sediments that they will not have learned about in regular Bachelors or Masters courses. In addition to glacial geology, the techniques and approaches taken by Lorna are widely applicable to other areas of science, including materials and soil science and so are guaranteed to bring something new to the table for participants!

Lorna's University of Brighton website is here:
https://research.brighton.ac.uk/en/persons/lorna-linch

And you can see her in action in the field in Greenland here:-
