Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The Red Sea is a unique depositional setting that offers the possibility to study biogenic carbonates under environmental stress. The students learn about the specific characteristics of this enigmatic carbonate environment, the different stressors, and how studying the Red Sea helps evaluating global risks of climate change in reefs and other carbonate depositional systems.
