Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
This course covers the late evolutionary stages of stars (except Supernovae). In particular we will talk about the Asymptotic Giant Branch and Red Supergiant phases. Nucleosynthesis, atmospheric dynamics, dust formation and mass loss will form the main topics of the course. We will also discuss ongoing projects and recent publications.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Exam (50%), Contributed talk (40%) and active participation in the seminar (10%)
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
Elaboration and presentation of one topic from the list of topics presented during the first units of the course. Active participation in at least 70% of the course.
