Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The course will introduce students to a landscape with ongoing mining operations and the threat of losing important landscape components as a result of this. The students will get acquainted with the involved conservation targets and technical measures (e.g. soil transplantation) to preserve these targets despite the mining operations. The students will:
-learn to analyze landscape components and interactions
-evaluate the consequences of technical measures
-weigh pros and cons of the suggested measures
-present their analyses in a adequate and balanced way
