Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Participants will have a good understanding of the relationship between landscape features (eg. hillslopes, wetlands, streams and lakes) and biogeochemical processes. The course involves a combination of lectures, journal club discussions, field and laboratory work. Participants will gain an appreciation for catchment processes via the investigation of how biogeochemical characteristics of sediment and water change over space and time. The potential impact of natural and anthropogenic change to ecosystem processes and ecosystem services will be discussed considering: catchment/stream hydrology, groundwater/ surface water / hyporheic zone biogeochemistry.

### NOTE ###
Depending on the final course field sampling agreements (confirmed at first lecture) , participants may be required to cover the cost of accommodation (1-night) in, and transport to, Lunz am See (expected ~100-150 EUR) themselves
*Final cost is dependent on number of participants after closure of registration period.
