Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the history and practice of European spatial planning, its strengths and certainly also its weaknesses and the prospects of it becoming a key element, albeit under the territorial cohesion flag, of EU policy post-2013.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

The lecture will be assessed by means of a written take-home exam (24-hour paper).

Prüfungsstoff

Students attending the lectures are strongly advised to read the short summary of each lecture and the reading material before each session. All the reading material is available on the internet (https://moodle.univie.ac.at/). In some cases, the original sources have also been given below.
There is more literature available on European planning than the sessions can cover. A list of relevant works by the instructor can be found on the internet (https://moodle.univie.ac.at/).
