After getting familiarized with fundamental concepts and approaches relevant for green socio-economic transformation, students will work on case studies that reveal environment-related place-based challenges, needs for green socio-economic transformation, and possible strategies to support such a transformation. Discussions in class will help students reflect on the interim results of their case studies and enable examining how place-based conditions impact the course and outcome of green socio-economic transformation.
