Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Teil 1: Terrestrische Grosslebensräume (Dullinger)

Die Vorlesung stellt Möglichkeiten vor, wie die Grosslebensräume der Erde klassifiziert werden können. Dem Biom-Konzept Heinrich Walters folgend, werden die Grosslebensräume (Zonobiome) vorgestellt. Die Vorlesung fokussiert auf natürlich-zonale Ökosysteme. Es werden daneben auch azonale Ökosysteme (z.B. Moore, Hochgebirge) und Kulturökosysteme kurz behandelt.

Teil 2: Limnische Lebensräume (Waringer-Löschenkohl):
Rolle im globalen Wasserhaushalt, Entstehungsgeschichte, Chemismus von Gewässern im Zusammenhang mit der Geologie ihrer Einzugsgebiete und ihrer anthropogenen Belastung, Typen von stehenden Gewässern, Einteilungsprinzipien und Systemeigenschaften, Typen von Fließgewässern, Beurteilungskriterien, landschaftsökologische Bedeutung und ökosystemare Konzepte unter Berücksichtigung von Restaurationsmaßnahmen.
