Prior bioinformatic experience or basic experience with linux is required. Knowledge of basic molecular evolutionary principles and orthology/paralogy concepts (as taught in various lectures, such as Molecular Evolution) is required.

The class will build groups of 3 persons each, that will focus on characterization of individual orthology type (e.g., one group working on chromosomal orthology, another on protein orthology etc). Prior experience with Linux or bioinformatic course attendance is expected.We will have a pre-meeting (Vorbesprechung) on October 10th at 2pm at UBB (seminar room will be announced)
